Financial Literacy Mobilization Kit
Develop your plan for participating in the profession’s financial literacy efforts by obtaining the free CPA Mobilization Kit User Guide from the American Institute of CPAs. The guide can be accessed through the CPA Financial Literacy Resource Center at www.aicpa.org/financialliteracy/CPA_Mobil_Kits.asp.
The User Guide is an instruction manual on using CPA Mobilization Kits to offer community workshops. It includes information on integrating your efforts with the profession’s 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy initiative, talking points, financial literacy statistics with sources, and a timeline for planning an event. The kits have samples of a flyer, an invitation and a questionnaire for audience feedback. (The flyer, invitation and questionnaire also are available as downloadable Word documents and include space to insert your logo and organization or program name.) If you have questions or comments, please contact Cheryl Reynolds at AICPA. (E-mail creynolds@aicpa.org or phone 212-596-6110.

External Image Project Benefiting Members
During tax season, CPAs are often in the media spotlight. This year was no exception. TSCPA filled print, radio and television interview requests for tax-season stories from media outlets across the state. New this year, TSCPA produced an audio news release containing last-minute tax tips and distributed it statewide. By issuing daily new releases the week before April 15, TSCPA helped secure publicity for CPA members in tax practice. This is just one facet of TSCPA’s year-round media relations outreach, which promotes awareness of all segments of the CPA profession.
