Governmental Affairs Blog
Web logs, or blogs, are a way of publishing to the Web one idea at a time. The simplicity and immediacy of Web logs has made them extremely popular very quickly. TSCPA has tapped into this medium with the creation of a blog exclusively for legislative news and updates. The Governmental Affairs blog features the very latest from Austin – literally from moment to moment.
Members can catch up on all the goings-on during the legislative session, as well as post their own comments and questions. Visit http://tscpa.typepad.com/my_weblog/ to reach the Governmental Affairs blog today.

College/University Educators
TSCPA recently launched an online community designed specifically for accounting educators. Now educator members can find links to research sites, scholarships, various accounting organizations and publications, and TSCPA programming, like the annual Accounting Education Conference and the Outstanding Accounting Educator Award - all in one handy online location.
TSCPA also has directories of AICPA’s education and recruitment programs available upon request. This handy guide will give you information about everything AICPA is doing to assist accounting educators.

As of late March, 150 requests from members and educators for materials and/or guest speakers were received. More than 9,000 career guides and 300 information packets have been distributed.
