November Chapter and MIGI Luncheon
Our speaker for the November 14th Luncheon is Christi Stinson. Ms. Stinson is the Chief Operating Officer for the Texas Society of CPAs and will be speaking to us on "CPA Profession: A New Environment".
Ms. Stinson received a BBA with a concentration in accounting from Baylor University in 1971. Upon graduation she went to work for Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. in Midland, Texas. After two years with PMM she worked part-time in public accounting. In 1978 Christi and her family moved to Fort Worth where she resumed her full-time career at Coopers & Lybrand. She became a CPA in 1981.
In 1986, Christi became Executive Director of the Fort Worth Chapter/TSCPA. The Fort Worth Chapter named Christi 1998 CPA of the Year. She joined the TSCPA staff in 1998 as Managing Director, Membership and became COO in September 2000. Christi earned the Certified Association Executive designation in 1999 and is a member of the AICPA Business and Industry Executive Committee.
