If you are reading this on your computer monitor, thank you. That means you are one of the many Corpus Christi Chapter members that have provided us with a current e-mail address and have received this e-mail newsletter in addition to your receipt of the mailed paper version. We will be providing both electronic and paper versions to all members during this transition period.
Let me give you some background information about our electronic e-mail system. Our e-mail provider is the same provider that does the newsletter production for the Dallas chapter, the Houston chapter, the San Antonio chapter and the State chapter of Arizona. As you will see in this issue, they do professional work. Believe it or not, the electronic preparation, production and delivery are much cheaper than the paper-and-mail version. The larger Chapters have had substantial savings by using this electronic format. The Dallas chapter had e-mail addresses for approximately 40% of it membership before e-mailed newsletters. After two months of transition, Dallas now has over 90% of their members receiving the newsletter electronically.
The electronic version allows the reader the ability to get a quick summary of article content and allows scrolling to articles that are of interest. (I am glad you felt inclined to read this article!)
I thank you for your patience and participation as your Chapter embarks on this newsletter transition.
