Go “green” at the Austin City Limits Music Festival by riding Capital Metro to the event this weekend. Festival-goers can lessen their impact on the environment by taking advantage of Capital Metro’s free ACL Fest shuttle service Friday, Oct. 2 through Sunday, Oct. 4.
For the eighth straight year, Capital Metro plans to provide shuttles from Republic Square Park at 5th and Guadalupe streets to the festival at Zilker Park. The shuttles will begin at 10 a.m. each day and the last departure from Republic Square to Zilker Park is at 8 p.m. The last shuttle will return passengers after the festival around 11 p.m.
Parking is not provided at Zilker Park. Patrons are encouraged to park outside of downtown and take the bus to the shuttle boarding site. Festival-goers can also ride some of Capital Metro’s regular routes to get near Zilker Park. Bus schedules and maps are available at capmetro.org.
Capital Metro has fully complied with the Federal Transit Administration's charter regulations and is able to run the shuttles because no eligible private charter companies were able to provide the service.
