The Cognac Harvest Begins
October brings the cognac harvest in France. It’s a time when ripe grapes are plucked from the vines to be pressed and fermented in preparation for the distillation process.

It’s also a wonderful time to visit Cognac and tour the Camus family vineyards, distillery and museum that features rare cognacs presented in Baccarat crystal and Limoges porcelain. Learn the centuries-old tradition of cognac-making and round out your aromatic visit by participating in cognac-blending and -tasting classes. Camus Honored on East and West Coasts
Members of the San Francisco chapter of the international food and wine society of the Chaîne de Rotisseur recently hosted a black-tie gastronomic feast featuring Camus' cognacs. Held at the exotic Farallon restaurant in San Francisco’s Union Square, the seven-course dinner prepared by Chef Mark Franz featured Camus’ Cuvée, Joséphine and Borderies XO. Guests took home crystal cognac glasses and miniature bottles of Joséphine.
In South Florida, more than 25 restaurants participated in Camus Cognac Week, Oct. 4-9, as part of SAVOR Greater Fort Lauderdale Restaurant Month. Diners were treated to complimentary servings of Joséphine paired with sumptuous desserts and entered raffles to win a bottle of Jubilée.
