WGA Strike Takes $3.2 Billion Toll On California Economy
Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation To Release 2008-09 Economic Forecast

That's not a typo. New figures reveal that the WGA Strike directly and indirectly has reached $3.2 Billion in overall economic impact. The LAEDC is hosting a forecast event Feb. 20th at the Marriott Downtown. Theme: "Investing in LA" Chief Economist Jack Kyser, LAEDC will talk about the WGA strike and other economic trends.
The Los Angeles Economic Development Corp. estimates that while $733 million in production spending has been lost, another $1.3 billion came from the caterers, florists, valets, hotel operators, restaurant workers, costume-house employees and others in lost income.
