This month Bentley’s Produce Department invites you to embrace Seasonal Produce! As the month of June welcomes the summertime, it also brings a number of delicious fruits and vegetables into season when their taste and nutrients are at their best.
With a very short season, fresh Apricots harvest from June to mid-August and often less than one-fourth of the harvest makes it to the market fresh. Not only are Apricots high in Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Potassium, but they are also an exquisite table fruit for eating out of hand or making a smoothie, a refreshing nectar or fruit sauce. Make sure to pick up some fresh Apricots next time you visit Bentley’s to enhance your breakfast cereal, ice cream, yogurts, or salads.

Cheese Department
St. Andres, a rare soft, ripened cheese in the tradition of a Brie and Camembert, has a reputation as a blend of the perfect Brie mixed with equal parts of thick, sour cream and whipped sweet cream. St. Andres is made from cow’s milk and enriched with pure creams. Containing no less than 75% butterfat for every 100 grams of cheese, St. Andres is commonly agreed to be 50% richer than the average Camembert.
This cheese is a favorite for cheese boards!

Mango Chipotle Grille Sauce: The top-selling of all Stonewall's Grille sauces, blends the mellow sweetness of maple with zesty chipotle creating a superb complement for grilled or roasted Chicken or Meat. Add to baked beans or use as dipping sauce for slices of a crusty baguette.
Curried Mango Grille Sauce: Experimenting with the tropical lush mangoes, this delicious sauce is made for basting Meats and Seafood while grilling or to serve on the side. It also makes a great marinade, especially for Jumbo Shrimp!!!
Pomegranate Grille Sauce: The "sweet but tart" flavor of the pomegranate is what makes this grille sauce so unique. Brush on Chicken or Pork while grilling or roasting. |
