Now with the Holidays behind us, it's a time to get healthy & trim. Watch for whole grains in the form of salads and pastas, plus NEW ways to present fresh fruits and vegetables. It seems that everyone is looking to cut back on fats, sodium and "dead" carbs. So we're responding with some new items like "quinoa", a delicious tasting whole grain that packs more protein than any other grain except possibly amaranth. We're looking for a source for that as well. And gluten-free brown rice pasta is available in the pasta bar as well as noodles made of whole-grain wheat. We welcome your requests for any of your dietary needs!
This month you'll notice that sandwiches will MOVE out of the prepared foods arena to a space next to cheeses that will provide faster service and a much better display of our products. It's planned to offer more healthy sides in individual portions, plus half sandwiches and half-size entree salads. We think many of you welcome options to spend LESS, waste LESS and enjoy MORE healthy choices. Again, we want to hear from you. As we adjust to the changing times, help us with your ideas.
Everyone is watching their spending these days. We've LOWERED PRICES on our sandwiches, salad bar, wines, and we're constantly looking for more bargains to offer you. At the same time, we refuse to abandon our commitment to quality and service.
