Managing Stress in Todays Marketplace

Dr. Michael Pelfry will speak at the BBB Business Seminar on December 3, 2009. Dr. Pelfry will discuss the basics in dealing with workplace stress and stressful events beyond our control.

The focus of Dr. Pelfry’s speech will be on the economic downturn and its impact on customers, employees and businesses. Participants will learn skills that can be practiced and used daily to manage stress.

Dr. Michael Pelfrey is a licensed Psychologist in Private Practice in Amarillo. He has taught at the University of Texas and The University of South Carolina and was a research associate at The Institute of Behavioral Science at The University of Colorado.

The First-Time Home Buyers Tax credit was created to stimulate the real estate market by encouraging first-time home buyers. The tax credit is equal to 10 percent of the home’s purchase price, up to a maximum of $8,000. Qualifying participants simply claim the credit on their tax return.
