Property owners in San Bernardino county may receive, at one time or another, as did Bureau President Bill Mitchell recently, a letter from California Record Retrieval, Inc., offering to provide them with a certified copy of the deed to their property.

Here’s the catch:  LawCrossing.com, of Pasadena, posts job listings for the legal profession on its website.  At least some of those who sign up and pay monthly to access the listings find no jobs, no accurate listings, no way out of their subscription, and certainly no way to make the company live up to its double-your-money-back guarantee.
