How Much Help is a Contractor's Bond?

Licensed contractors in California are required to have a $12,500 contractor’s bond for the benefit of, among others, the contractor’s clients who may be damaged should the contractor violate the Contractors’ State License Law.  If you’re the one damaged, what can you do?

Cell Phone Use While Driving to be Restricted

Legislation was enacted this last fall to prohibit the use of cell phones while driving unless some means of hands-free use, such as a headset or speaker phone, is employed.
