CREDIT REPORT SECURITY FREEZE
In some states, particularly, in New Mexico and Colorado, you can instruct the credit-reporting agencies to place a “security freeze” or “file freeze” in your credit file. This security freeze locks, or freezes, access to your credit report and credit score. The Better Business Bureau of the Southwest (BBBSW) wants you to be informed of this option in dealing with identity theft, whether you have been a victim or just want added protection.
