Traveling CPAs
Did you catch a wave or sit on top of the world this summer? It is time again to show us just what CPAs do when they are involved in a little R and R. Send us your travel photos along with a brief description and we will include them in the September issue of Enews. Send to pgannon@ascpa.com by Sept. 1.

Interested in Earning a Bonus Safety Dividend?
The ASCPA has partnered with SCF Arizona and we invite you and your company or firm to join our Association Safety Program (ASP).  The ASP is designed exclusively for SCF Arizona policyholders who are members of a business or trade association, that partner with SCF Arizona.  If you are a current SCF Arizona policyholder, joining the ASCPA’s ASP program will provide your business valuable safety information and a possibility at earning a bonus safety dividend.  Learn more about the ASP Program. To join the ASCPA’s ASP program, please complete the application. The ASCPA’s association number is 59. You will need this number when completing the application.

Participate on the Safety Committee
If you are already a member of the ASCPA’s ASP program, then consider joining our Safety Committee. The Safety Committee meets quarterly over lunch to review the quarterly claims report. We review the injuries on the report to determine ways to keep our members and their employees safe and injury free. The information is used to form safety training seminars for our members and their staff.  Our Safety Committee members also write safety articles for our electronic newsletter. To volunteer for the Safety Committee or for more information, contact José at 602-324-4741 or jherrera@ascpa.com.

Productivity in the Workplace and Ergonomics
Office safety may not be high on the list of most CPAs and business professionals, but it is something the Arizona Society of CPAs has on its radar at least twice a year. The Society puts together two programs on office safety for our members each year. The instructor, David Purves did a great job of educating our members in attendance. In case you missed it, here is his article on this topic.
