Maintaining a Cash Flow Management System

People say that businesses fail because they run out of cash. This is like saying that someone is dead because he or she no longer has a pulse; it is a truism that does not really reflect anything diagnostic or helpful. Running out of cash is a symptom, it is not a cause. Businesses die because they get sick and their sicknesses are not remedied before they run out of money. Sickness will occur in any business so your entrepreneurial customers need to really understand how to prevent and remedy the cash challenges that will inevitably arise.

Workshop: CPA Certification - Oct. 1
The ASCPA will be offering a free workshop to help CPA candidates through the certification process. The session will help candidates understand the process and will answer questions they have. It is open to members and nonmembers at no cost and offered on two dates: Oct. 1, 2008 and Feb. 4, 2009 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at 4801 E Washington, Ste 225-B in Phoenix.

ASCPA Expands Webcast Offerings
The ASCPA is pleased to announce it has partnered with a new webcast provider: CPE Link. This new partnership will allow ASCPA members to have more choices in their webcast programming. CPE Link offers five to 10 webcasts each month (typically two to four hours) covering a range of topics of interest to financial professionals.
