Sugar Prices Have Very Little Bearing on a Product’s Cost

Visit your local grocery store today and you can find Pepsi made with sugar, corn syrup, aspartame, and Splenda.  And chances are good you won’t find any difference in the products’ cost.  That’s because, as a Pepsi spokesperson admitted in 2006, “The cost of the sweetener in the product is extremely minimal to the point of not even mattering.”...
