 Arts Council Silicon Valley announced that it has restructured its very popular Artist Fellowship grants program to engage a broader segment of the artist community. The Arts Council is now awarding up to a $4,000 fellowship in each of six different categories to recognize established professional working artists and to enable them to continue to pursue their creative work.

 When I heard about the new study commissioned by the Silicon Valley Community Foundation titled “Corporate Philanthropy in Silicon Valley,” I was very intrigued. In the arts, we know that corporate support is often difficult to come by. So, I was anxious to see what the report would tell us. Santa Clara High School Student Is One of Seven Winners in California
 The California Arts Council announced the winners of the agency’s first “California Story Slam” writing competition, a pilot project that encourages students to use the knowledge of their lives and emotional journeys to create literature. We are proud to announce the winner in Santa Clara County: Edna Tang, from Wilcox High School and her teacher, Heidi Vals.
