Arts Council Silicon Valley’s 2008-2009 grant guidelines and application forms are now posted on the ACSV website.  First deadline is September 22, for Applied Materials Artistic and Program Excellence grants.

CRAFT EMERGENCY RELIEF FUND (CERF) – EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

CERF’s programs include grants up to $1500, loans up to $8000, booth fee waivers, discounts on materials and equipment, assistance with business development, didsaster forums to help connect artists with assistance.

The California CDP will provide a standardized online system for collecting historical, financial, and organizational data and will be used for grant applications to many of the participating funders throughout CaliforniaDuring the coming year, many California granting programs will require applicants to participate in the California CDP.

SAN JOSE INSTITUTE OF CONTEMPORARY ART – CRATER BAY AREA LUNAR DRAWING CONTEST

 

Call now to make a drawing appointment:  408-283-8155

Drawing contest in which artists (and non-artists) will sketch the moon in a competition to win deeds of land on the moon. The contest takes place May 30 - August 2.  Each participant has 30 minutes to create a drawing that will hang on the gallery walls for the duration of the exhibition.  Award ceremony August 1, 2008

Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, premier venue for nonfiction film in the American West, seeking submissions.  Festival screens 100 films from February 13-22, 2009 at the historic Wilma Theater in downtown Missoula, Montana.  Competitive event with awards and cash prizes.
