Arts Council Silicon Valley has announced that Jeff Trabucco has been named “Interim” Managing Director of the Artsopolis Marketing Partnership (AMP) effective, August 1, 2008. Roland Valliere has stepped down from that position and will serve as a consultant for the month of August. Trabucco was previously Director of Network Licensing, responsible for managing AMP's software development and licensing projets throughout the United States.
As the original creator of the Artsopolis website in 1999, Trabucco sold the site to the Arts Council in 2001. The site was re-designed and debuted in August of 2003 and is celebrating its 5 year anniversary this month. The site has grown considerably since its initial launch 5 years ago and now boasts over 16,000 subscribers to its weekly half-price ticket email and roughly 2.5 million site visitors each year.
In addition, two years ago, Artsopolis began licensing its software to enable other communities around the country to provide free event information for arts and cultural activities in other regions. Currently, there are 16 Artsopolis network sites active around the country with four more coming in the next few months.
In Jeff’s new role, he will be assuming greater responsibility with the local collaborative marketing program here in Silicon Valley, and will still be overseeing all Network relationships.
“I am very excited to be able to help lead our program into the future and to have an opportunity to work more closely with Silicon Valley cultural organizations,” said Trabucco. “Not only have we developed a service that successfully supports Silicon Valley arts and cultural groups, but we have created a model that communities around the United States are benefiting from. I know that we have only just scratched the surface of what we can achieve locally and nationally.”
