Attend the Free FIRST 5 Santa Clara County Arts Alive! Festival THIS
Sunday, August 17, 2008 from 11 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the Mexican Heritage Plaza located at 1700 Alum Rock Avenue, San José, CA.
This is a celebration and live glimpse into the Arts Alive Pilot Program in collaboration between FIRST 5, the E3 Institute and County Supervisor Blanca Alvarado and in partnership with Arts Council of Silicon Valley, San Jose Unified School District and the Santa Clara County Office of Education
Among the many activities include:
- Visual Arts Gallery
- Childrens Arts Activities
- Classroom Demonstrations (Dance, Music & Theater)
- Community Art Workshops
- Resource Fair
- Resources for Parents
- Refreshments
And Live on Stage are Performances by:
- Oriki Theater, African Drumming
- Michael Heralda & Aztec Stories
- Participants from the FIRST 5 Santa Clara County iARTS ALIVE!
- Summer Institute Pilot Program includes local Bay Area artists and teachers
The first 300 people in attendance get free lunch!
