Chamber Celebrates Anniversary

On May 19, 2004, the Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 80th anniversary. The special event was held at the Altadena Town and Country Club. A good time was had by all and we thank the staff of the Country club and members of the Chamber for making this a very special evening. Annual Golf Event Planned

Plans are underway for the Chamber’s annual golf event. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 15th. So, mark the date and sign-up early! A portion of the proceeds raised will benefit the Marion Lee Memorial Scholarship Fund. For information and sign-up, please contact the Chamber office.

 
Concerts in the Park

The Sheriff’s Support Group Concert in the Park Series is off to a swinging start, beginning Saturday, June 5th. For more information on this annual entertaining and enjoyable series, featuring top-notch musicians, click on the Altadena Sheriff's website or pick-up a flyer with the series line-up and dates at the Altadena Sheriff’s Station or the Chamber office.

 
Altadena Community Festival and Parade Planned

A coalition of businesses, agencies and community volunteers have teamed up with Chamber to organize Altadena annual festival and parade, which will be held this year on Saturday, October 30. This year's event will feature a number of new features, activities and events, including changes in the parade route and location of the main event venues, and a variety of new and entertaining features. The Festival and Parade Planning Committee meets bi-weekly on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m., at the Altadena Center, 730 East Altadena Drive. Volunteers are welcome. Lake Avenue Study Completed

Supervisor Antonovich to hold June Meeting

Please join us at Supervisor Antonovich's "Altadena Meeting."
SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, June 19th, 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m., Altadena Community Center, 730 EastAltadena Drive. Guests will include representatives from the Altadena NAACP, the Chamber, Altadena Heritage, Altadena Historical, Mountain View Conservancy, and the Sheriff's Support Group.

 
Housing Fair Scheduled for July

The Altadena Chamber is sponsoring a housing fair in conjunction with Assemblywoman Carol Liu's office and the Pasadena Housing Authority. The event will be held in late July, at Eliot Middle School. The housing fair is free to the public and all members of the community are encouraged to attend.

 
Town Council Meets July 13

The Altadena Town Council's July 13th meeting will be devoted to presentation and discussion of the Lake Avenue Study. Representatives of the Los Angeles Community Development Commission and the consultant firm preparing the study will be in attendance. The meeting is scheduled or 7:00 p.m. and members of the community are encouraged to be present.
