The Chamber in conjunction with the Allen Rotary Club will once again host a Candidates' Forum on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church. The cost is $10 ($12, if invoiced) and reservations are required. Come meet the candidates for the school board.

Local Option Election for Beer & Wine Sales
The next Eggs & Issues breakfast on Friday, April 23, 2004 will feature the pros and cons of the Local Option Election issue. Spend a day at the course & promote your business!
Would you like to promote your business to approximately 200 potential customers while having a great time? Then, consider donating an item for the Chamber's golf goody bags, sponsor a hole, or volunteer your time at the Chamber's annual golf tournament. Donations are needed for the goody bags and volunteers are needed for registration and to sit at designated holes throughout the day. The Allen Chamber & Inside Collin County Business
Special rates for Chamber members introduced.
The Allen Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with Inside Collin County Business to offer free advertising for new Chamber members. For every new membership to the Allen Chamber that is sold, Inside Collin County Business will issue a certificate good for advertising in the amount of the new member's investment in the Chamber, up to $1,000. Also, in exchange for selling discounted subscriptions to existing Chamber members, the Chamber will receive a commission and advertising benefits. Marketing & PR Topic of May Session
Please join us for the upcoming Business Builders panel discussions. The May 6th session will be on Leveraging Marketing and PR for Business Growth and the June 3rd session will discuss How to Do Business with the City of Allen. The cost is FREE for Chamber members and $15 for prospective members. The meetings are held at the Allen Heritage Center (train depot) at 100 E. Main Street.

American Cancer Society
Relay for Life!
Allen’s walkers and runners go around the clock in the battle against cancer during the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. This “celebration of life” brings numerous groups and individuals concerned about cancer together for a unified effort to fight back. Teams of enthusiastic citizens from all walks of life will gather at Allen High School Practice Field for a 12-hour relay against cancer from 6:00 PM on May 7, 2004 at 6 PM until 6AM on May 8, 2004.
