The Allen Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Allen Rotary Clubs, will once again present a Candidates' Forum on Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church. Candidates for City Council include Richard Buchanan, Place 3; Mark Pacheco, Place 3; John Kelley, Place 3; Incumbent Debbie Stout - unopposed, Place 1; and Incumbent Kenneth Fulk - unopposed, Place 5. The Allen ISD school board candidates are incumbents Pamela Smith, Kevin Kerr and Victoria Sublette - all unopposed. |

Dallas-Fort Worth Projects Meet Air Quality Standards
The Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) and amendments to the FY 2002-04 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) meet air quality conformity standards. The January 27th determination allows an array of federal, state and local transportation projects and several air quality outreach initiatives to proceed, resulting in the implementation of millions of dollars of needed money to help clean up the Dallas-Fort Worth air. Early Voting Schedule
Early voting will begin on Wednesday, April 16, 2003 and run through Tuesday, April 29, 2003. The hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at City Hall in Allen. Extended voting hours will be held on Thursday, April 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you are unable to cast an early vote, the polls are open on Election Day on May 3, 2003 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Remember, Your Vote Counts!

Show Your Patriotism Participate in the Collin County nonpartisan show of patriotism on Saturday, April 12, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. outside City Hall in Allen. The guest host will be Congressman Sam Johnson. This rally is a chance to show support for our military. Bring your flags to wave and handmade signs supporting the troops.
