Promotional Opportunities Related to Allen USA, June 26
             
 
The City of Allen Parks and Recreation Department is launching a special advertising campaign for this year’s Allen USA Celebration. Promotion will highlight the event on Saturday, June 26 along with a message encouraging area visitors to “Stop, Stay, Shop and Play.”  As part of the special promotion, we want to encourage visitors to stay the night and take advantage of other amenities the city has to offer.  The Allen Chamber of Commerce has agreed to work with the city to provide a promotional panel on its website that will be listed on event promotion. Event promotion will consist of color newspaper inserts in weekend publications circulated in Durant, Oklahoma; Sherman/Dennison and Greenville. Prospective visitors receiving the insert promotion can access the website in order to print a list of offers/discounts from our Allen businesses that can be redeemed the weekend of Allen USA. There is no cost to participate in this special offer, just forward your discount/incentive offer to Sharon Mayer at the Chamber of Commerce; smayer@allenchamber.com or call 972-727-5585 no later than April 23.
 
     Other paid sponsorship and advertising opportunities related to Allen USA include the following:
 
Allen USA Sponsorship includes levels from $1,500 up to $10,000 for zone affiliation. Sponsorship supports the city’s ability to keep event admission, entertainment and fireworks show free of charge to residents and area visitors. Sponsorship provides the opportunity to promote your business/product among 40,000+ event attendees along with other advertising benefits related to event promotion in Collin County depending upon level of sponsorship. For sponsorship information, call 972-727-7552 or email scraft@cityofallen.org.
 
Regardless of sponsorship, paid advertising is available in the souvenir event publication produced by the Dallas Morning News. The publication is circulated to over 170,000 households and retail sites throughout Collin County the weekend prior to Allen USA. The publication provides all the details about Allen USA in addition to general community information. Special seating and amenities for families and businesses to enjoy Allen USA exist again this year; however, they have been modified in order to continue expansion of the event into a regional festival. This year, a preferred seating area will be available for purchase by small businesses and/or families. The preferred seating area is not covered but offers tables and chairs along with amenities that can only be accessed by those in that area such as a general refreshment stand and restroom facilities. Preferred seating also includes a meal. The area is located close to the main stage. Preferred seating can be purchased in groups of four, six, and ten. The VIP Tent will be exclusively for event sponsors this year. For more information about preferred seating, call 972-727-7554 or email landerson@cityofallen.org. Please let us know that you are a chamber member since the Allen Chamber of Commerce will share in the proceeds from the preferred seating area through all their partnership efforts related to this event.
 
All Chamber members are encouraged to join us for the Mayor’s Premier, a special preview event for Allen USA, scheduled for Thursday, May 6 from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. (doors open at 5 p.m.) The event is sponsored in cooperation with the Hilton Garden Inn of Allen, 705 Central Expressway South. This event is free and includes special entertainment and appetizers along with special give-aways for preferred seating, parking passes and more at Allen USA.
