Chairman's Message
by Sheila McKinney, Presbyterian Hospital of Allen
Well, now that spring has arrived, it is a good opportunity for everyone to get out and get involved. Chamber membership provides many opportunities to get involved in ways that can help you personally and professionally. The annual golf tournament is scheduled for May 24. If you haven’t signed up to play or be a sponsor, do so today. This event allows you to get exercise, have fun and meet people to expand your business horizon! Additional upcoming events that create involvement are the Candidates’ Forum and Eggs & Issues. The Candidates’ Forum is scheduled for April 14 at the First United Methodist Church. At Eggs & Issues on April 23, you will hear speakers present the pros and cons to the ballot issue allowing the sale of beer and wine in food stores and the sale of alcoholic beverages in restaurants without a membership card. Perhaps the best way to be involved in America is to exercise your right to vote. Early voting is April 28-May 11 and Election Day is Saturday, May 15. If you don’t know where to vote, check out www.co.collin.tx.us.
