Chamber Introduces Book Club

The Allen Chamber of Commerce is introducing the Business Boosters Book Club!
The purpose of the book club is to encourage entrepreneurial spirit, broaden knowledge of business, sales and marketing tactics, and to exchange ideas that impact the readers. Please plan to participate! The group will read and discuss one book a month, join in now or any time. The Club will meat the 4th Friday of the month from 11:30 – 1:00 in the Chamber boardroom. Business Excellence in a Disruptive Age by Tom Peters. Description: Peters rocked the business world with In Search of Excellence and other inspiring titles in the last two decades, and now he’s giving us no excuses for providing ultimate customer service and re-inventing our business. The visually titillating book is easy to read and packed with valuable nuggets. Availability: Sam’s Club sells the book for $17.84. Barnes and Noble sells it for the $30 list price. Also try Amazon.com. Half Price Books is not carrying this book. There is one copy of this book in the library system, but it already has 3 people on the waiting list. You could try the McKinney and Richardson libraries.
