SCORE Counseling at Chamber
The SCORE Association (Service Corps of Retired Executives)
is a premiere, free business counseling and advice service found in the United
States. SCORE is a non-profit
association with 389 SCORE offices across the country. For more than 36 years, SCORE’s 11,500
retired and working business professionals have volunteered to help a new
generation of entrepreneurs. The
business counseling services are offered at no fee, as a community service.
SCORE’s experienced business counselors provide general
business advice on everything from how to write a business plan, to cash flow
management, to expanding your existing business. SCORE provides key services – both face-to-face and online
counseling – to busy entrepreneurs just getting their feet wet, or in need of a
seasoned pro as a sounding board for their existing businesses.
SCORE also offers business training workshops and seminars,
ranging in topic and scope depending on the needs of the business
community. For established businesses,
customer service, marketing, hiring practices, using the Internet for business,
importing/exporting and home-based businesses are a sampling of more in-depth
training that many SCORE offices offer.
You can reach the SCORE offices at 1-800-634-0245 or email
at contact.score@sba.gov. Their website is www.score.org.
