TxDOT Hosts Public Hearings
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) announced that they will be hosting a public hearing about the Trans-Texas Corridor. The Trans-Texas Corridor will move people, goods, utilities - and even ideas - through the state safer and faster than ever before. The purpose of these hearings is to give the public an opportunity to provide input and comments regarding the Trans-Texas Corridor.
In addition to the hearings, TxDOT will also be accepting comments via e-mail at corridor@dot.state.tx.us and by U.S. Mail to the Public Information Office, Texas Department of Transportation, 125 E. 11th Street, Austin, Texas 78701-2489. A public hearing is planned for each county in Texas. The hearing in Collin County is scheduled for Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at the Holiday Inn McKinney, 1300 N. Central Expressway, McKinney, Texas 75069. All hearings will begin with an Open House from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., followed by a presentation and comment period at 7:00 p.m.
For more information on the public hearing contact: Kerri D. Howell, at the TxDOT Dallas District Office, 214-320-4486 or e-mail Ms. Howell at khowel1@dot.state.tx.us. Persons needing special accommodations or language translation should contact Ms. Howell two (2) days before the hearing. TxDOT will make every reasonable effort to accommodate these needs.
