Celebrate Allen 2004
An Affair to Remember

The Allen Chamber of Commerce, the Allen Philharmonic Symphony and the Foundation for Allen Schools invite you to attend an enchanted evening of celebration, An Affair to Remember, on Saturday, January 24, 2004 at the Renaissance Hotel, 900 East Lookout, in Richardson. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. with a wine reception, followed by dinner, a live auction and dancing at 7:30 p.m. In addition, the recipients of the Pacesetter award and the Spirit of Allen award will be recognized for their contributions to our community.

Scott Sams of WFAA-Channel 8 News will be the emcee for the evening. Mr. Sams co-anchors News 8 Daybreak and News 8 at 9/Good Morning Texas.  He has been with Channel 8 since 1985 working as weather, sports and news anchor.  In 1999, Sams was voted Television Personality of the Year for Dallas/Fort Worth.  He received the Award of Excellence from the American Women in Radio and Television.  In 2000, Sams received an Edward R. Murrow Award as part of the team for The Best Newscast-Large Market.  Scott and his wife Lisa live in Plano.
