THE HOLIDAYS ARE JUST AROUND THE CORNER!
 
Once again the Allen Chamber will offer discounted advertising for businesses who wish to take advantage of this opportunity.  As in the past, we are committed to our SHOP “HOME” FOR THE HOLIDAYS activities that bring shoppers to your stores; however, we can’t do this without your participation.  Again this year, instead of giving away cash that may or may not be spent within our community, we plan to take all registration fees and put those dollars into the advertising/promotion dollars for Home for the Holidays with our main focus on two full-page, coupon-filled newspaper advertising opportunities.  We’ll provide the advertising venue, but we ask that you provide some incentive for shoppers by offering coupons or discounts good from December 1st through the 15th or longer,  if desired.   
As one retailer put it, “this is the biggest bang you can get for your advertising buck.”  And quite frankly, we agree!  Read on and you’ll see why.
 
WHAT DO YOU GET FOR YOUR $$$?
 
Business card size advertising or promotional coupon will be included in following publications:
Mock front page “wrap” on 9,000 copies of the Dallas Morning News to be distributed on November 28^th and 29^th  - copies are thrown to non-subscriber households in 75002 & 75013 zip codes 
Full page ad in the Allen American
Website advertising (FYI – since launching our new website 3½ weeks ago, we have already had over 11,000 hits)
Newcomer packet advertising (we’ll include your offer in our December newcomer packets)
Article promoting Shop “Home” for the Holidays in the Allen Image magazine
and in the Chamber’s e-Newsletter

WHAT DO WE NEED TO GET STARTED?

We need your commitment, a $125 registration fee (Chamber members); $150 (non-members) and a mock-up of your coupon for discounts, special offers or buy one get one free item for inclusion in the newspaper advertising.  The coupon does not have to be camera-ready, just accurate in the wording of your offer.  Please provide an expiration date for the coupon, if applicable.  Deadline for participation is November 12, 2003.
