Chairman's Message
by Bob Rothe, Chairman
A frequent request we hear from Chamber members is for us to provide a cooperative effort, a synergy, a cost-effective way for them to join with other businesses to get more recognition, advertising and awareness for their individual businesses. Business II Business Expo 03 was designed to do just that. This year’s Expo is an all-day event held on Thursday, September 18th at the Hilton Garden Inn. It is co-sponsored by Inside Collin County Business, Allen Economic Development Corporation, Health Market, Hilton Garden Inn & Conference Center, Presbyterian Hospital of Allen and Texans Credit Union.
An intensive campaign promoting attendance through a special tabloid section in Inside Collin County Business will publicize the event throughout Collin County. There are numerous activities and events to draw attendees. There will be a Lunchbox Learning Series on Fail-Safe Leadership from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. That evening, Collin County Business After Hours will provide networking opportunities for members of the Allen, Frisco, McKinney and Plano Chambers and a reception will be held featuring the members of Leadership Allen Class XV.
The event is billed as a business to business expo but it is open to the public. Even if your business markets more to the public than to other businesses, there will be hundreds of chamber members present. In addition to being business owners and employees they are also members of the “public”. Many of these chamber members are strong centers of influence and, if they are impressed with your business, will spread the word to others. Did I mention cost-effective? With booth prices as low as $100, the Business II Business Expo 03 is probably one of the least expensive ways you’ll ever find to promote your business. If you are in business in Collin County, you really shouldn’t pass up this opportunity. If you are a member of “the public”, come on by and see what all the excitement is about. There will be plenty of new product displays, give-aways and free samples to make it worth your while. We’ll see you there on September 18th. By the way, if you want to reserve a booth, you’d better hurry. Space is limited and they are going fast.
