You may not realize it, but the Allen Chamber of Commerce is
connected through several organizations beyond our local area. One of those organizations is the Texas
Chamber of Commerce Executives (TCCE).
Our President, Sharon Mayer is a member of TCCE. There are about 300 chambers of commerce in
Texas and approximately two thirds of them have executives that are members of
TCCE.
The mission of TCCE
is, “to enhance and promote the professional growth and competence of chamber
of commerce executives”. TCCE is an
organization of chamber executives from across the state, working together to
improve the business climate in Texas, while developing ways to enhance the
quality of life in the communities that they represent. TCCE provides leadership for chamber
employees through its many publications and resources. There are many
networking opportunities including the annual conference held each summer,
mini-conferences, and other meetings with the purpose of bringing executives
together to exchange ideas and success stories.
Sharon was recently elected as Vice-Chair for Membership of
this fine organization. The way their
officer rotation works, she is in line to be Chair of the TCCE in about three
years. This is just one of the ways
that the Allen Chamber of Commerce is making an impact beyond Allen. Next time you see Sharon, congratulate her
on her election and thank her for her commitment to excellence evidenced in her
efforts on behalf of TCCE.
