The Allen Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) is accepting nominations for the annual Millennium Business Awards. In its fifth year, the award is the highest honor the AEDC bestows on Allen companies that promote excellence in business and contributing back into the community. An individual who has contributed time and effort to the advancement of economic development in Allen is also recognized.
Nominations are accepted in four categories: National/Corporate Manufacturing, including major industries and headquarters with more than 50 employees; Local Independent Business, recognizing service providers, small retail and businesses with less than 50 employees; Retail/Service honoring large retailers, hospitals, and service providers with 50+ employees; and the Individual Category.
The deadline for award nominations is 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 15th. Nomination forms are available at the AEDC office, 100 Allentown Parkway, Suite 211 in Allen, as well as at the Allen Chamber of Commerce.
The awards are announced at the Millennium Business Awards Luncheon to be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Allen on Tuesday, September 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The luncheon is co-sponsored by Inside Collin County Business and the Allen Chamber of Commerce and is open to the public.
