Joe Jaynes, Collin County Commissioner, acted as mediator during the question and answer
session of the Candidates Forum.  City Council Place 3 was the only contested race.

Attendees of the Candidates Forum, co-sponsored by the Allen Chamber of Commerce and Noon Rotary Club, listen to the responses from the candidates for City Council Place 3.  The event was held on April 16, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church.
 

 

On Thursday, April 10, 2003, Comet Cleaners hosted the monthly chamber Business After Hours.  Comet Cleaners, located at 1608 E. Main Street #B-4 (Main and Malone) opened for business on April 14, 2003.  Owners Kurt Hudspeth and Christine Mery are excited to bring their business to Allen.  They will be opening a second location this summer at the intersection of  Angel Parkway and Stacy Road.


 



 

The Allen Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors helped Owners Kurt Hudspeth
and Christine Mery  with the Grand Opening of Comet Cleaners.  Comet Cleaners is a full
service dry cleaners located at 1608 E. Main, Suite B-4 (intersection of Main and Malone).


 


 



The Allen Chamber of Commerce was on hand Thursday, April 23, 2003 to help Velocity
Sports Performance with the Grand Opening of their first Texas location.  Joe Luce and
Mike Struder are both partners in the Texas Velocity Sports Performance franchise. 
Velocity Sports provides training to improve the athletic ability of all age groups and gender,
regardless of their sport or athletic skills or levels.  Velocity is located in the
Cornerstone Crossing on the  northeast corner of US 75 and Exchange Parkway.
