It does matter where you spend your money. New retail, restaurants and service businesses have been drawn to Allen as the city has grown in population and daytime employment.  Patronizing these businesses brings valuable sales tax revenue, helps to retain jobs and allows ongoing support of superior community services.

recycled in the community in the form of wages, which are in turn spent on more goods and services in the community. It is estimated that every dollar spent locally in this region is multiplied 2.71 times.
