The Moving Wall of Allen, Inc. is bringing The Moving Wall to Bethany Lakes Park in Allen, May 24 through May 30, 2003. The Moving Wall of Allen, Inc. is comprised of local veterans who are doing this in order to provide the opportunity for the community to pay their respects to the memory of the 58,229 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Vietnam War. The Moving Wall, a one-half size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., commonly referred to as The Wall, was constructed and is maintained by Vietnam Combat Veterans, Ltd. The visit of The Moving Wall to Allen is co-sponsored by The City of Allen and Armistice Memorial Post 2195, Veterans of Foreign Wars of The United States, Allen, TX.
