Chairman's Letter
by Izzie Waller
Chamber Members: What a busy Fall we are all having! The Chamber continues to provide many opportunities for getting involved and meeting new people/customers/clients. On November 14 our Small Business Taskforce is presenting another in their series of “Business for Breakfast” seminars. This one is entitled S.O.S. (Strategies on Survival) and will be held at the Hilton Hotel. Make sure you call the Chamber office to register. Allen ISD and Lovejoy ISD are in discussions about possible consolidation or separation. The Board members from each of these districts are working hard to do what is best for their kids and communities. The school districts are very important to our business community, and we should support them at this critical time as decisions are made. We are fortunate to have two such outstanding districts in our midst who contribute to our economic growth as new families move in and shop in Allen. The Celebrate Allen team is off and running and making plans for a great celebration on January 18 at the Renaissance Hotel. Be sure to mark your calendars for this special event that you will not want to miss! Continue to check the Chamber web site for more opportunities for your business. Thank you for all you do!
