The Nominating Committee, chaired by Bob Rothe and consisting of Izzie Waller, Danny McLarty, Josie Zendejas and Sharon Mayer, recommends the following slate of five (5) individuals to serve as Directors of the Allen Chamber of Commerce beginning in January 2003 and continuing until their terms expire in 2005 or until a replacement is named. 
 
The nominees are:

Griff Moore, Atrium Financial
Randy Sandifer, Attorney at Law
Worley Stein, American National Bank
Jim Waldbauer, BW2 Engineers, Inc.
 
The by-laws of the Allen Chamber of Commerce stipulate that, "the Chairman shall appoint, subject to approval of the Board of Directors, a Nominating Committee for Directors of three (3) members of the Chamber.  The Chairman shall also designate the chairman of the committee, and the Chairman and President shall serve as ex-officio members of the committee.  The Chairman shall preside over the committee.  The Nominating Committee shall present to the Board of Directors the slate of candidates eligible to serve three (3) year terms to the Board of Directors for the purpose of replacing the outgoing directors whose regular terms have expired.  Each candidate for a three (3) year directorship must be an active Chamber member willing to accept the responsibility of the three (3) year directorship.  No Board member who has served one full three (3) year term shall be eligible for a second term unless one year shall have elapsed after the expiration of the first three (3) year term except if elected Chairman Elect or Chairman, the term shall be extended to fulfill their elected terms.
 
Additional names of candidates for directors can be nominated by petition bearing the genuine signatures of ten (10) qualified members of the Chamber.  Signatures will be of those members entitled to vote in chamber proceedings as of the last working day of the month preceding the close of nominations.  Such petition shall be filed with the nominating committee ten (10) days after notice has been given of the names of those nominated.  The determination of the nominating committee as to the legality of the petition(s) shall be final.
 
Only additional nominations made following the above detailed procedure will be accepted.
 
Deadline for additional nominations is November 15, 2002.
