Keep Allen Beautiful has asked local folks to help us make “everything old, new again.” In keeping with that, we are asking that you bring any of the listed items to the City Hall parking lot and donate your OLD stuff so we can turn it into recycled, useable NEW stuff. Allen Animal Shelter: Would appreciate your gently used or new collars, leashes, toys, chew toys, treats, toenail clippers, cat nip, pet food, pet bowls, animal shampoo, dog dip, bleach, laundry soap, brushes, combs, flea shampoo spray, spray bottles, towels, and blankets. Allen Community Outreach: Would like to have your gently used cell phones with chargers that are in good working order. Cyclone Aluminum and Steel: Would like to have your old computers, computer components, copiers, fax machines, telephones, answering machines, printers, ink cartridges, lawn mowers, and small electric kitchen appliances (toasters, microwaves, toaster ovens, mixers, etc.). Cyclone will also take “white metal,” which is larger kitchen appliances. Friends of the Library: Would appreciate your gently used books, magazines, videos, DVDs, CDs, cassette tapes, records (remember those round vinyl discs?), puzzles, flash cards, and books on tape. Keep Allen Beautiful: Would like to have your old glasses to be recycled into new ones so others can see the beautiful world around us.
