Four general purpose surface insensitive instant adhesives from Henkel Corporation are making it easier for manufacturers to quickly bond a wide variety of materials without extra surface preparation. All four products feature improved cure speeds and stability, and Loctite® 401™, 406™ and 431™ Prism® are available in a new flexible 20 gram bottle that facilitates hand dispensing.
Loctite® 401™, 406™, 454™, and new 431™ Prism® instant adhesives are designed for use on metals, plastics and elastomers, but are also suited for bonding porous, absorbent, and acidic materials such as wood, paper, leather, fabric and freshly plated parts. These new and improved cyanoacrylate adhesives provide the fastest and most consistent room temperature cure speeds available. The new products maintain their fast cure speeds over their entire shelf life, and are less vulnerable to environmental fluctuations such as changes in humidity and temperature.
Loctite® 406™ Prism® instant adhesive is a transparent, colorless thin liquid designed to flow easily into hard to reach areas. Loctite® 401™ Prism® instant adhesive is a transparent, colorless, medium viscosity cyanoacrylate. Loctite® 431™ Prism® instant adhesive is a transparent, colorless, high viscosity cyanoacrylate. Loctite® 454™ Prism® instant adhesive is a clear gel formulation that can be used on vertical and overhead surfaces and/or larger gaps.
